    Ceiling fan remote control
There is only 2 wires from the ceiling fan-black and white, when I try to hook a remote to the ceiling fan, there is 5 wires. I hooked black to black and white to white and there is no other place to hook the other 3 wires( red white and black ). It shows on paper where to hook them however there is no wires from the fan just black and white, do I also hook these wires to the black and white from the ceiling fan ? And if so, what wires go to what? Thanks

What fan are you using? The fan should have three wires, the receiver should have one set of three and one set of two.
