1984 Buick Skylark wants to stall
After sitting for a few hours,it wants to stall, but then is fine after driving for a few minutes(5 minutes)I realize that there could be a myriad of things, but I'll start with the most expensive-Could the fuel pump be going out?Is it in the gas tank? Thanks.

Your car likely needs some standard preventive maintenace items, such as replacing:

    . Spark plugs (ACDelco only).
. Distributor cap, rotor, and wires.
    . Fuel filter.
    . Air filter.
    . Ignition Control Module:

Be sure and check for codes, just to be safe. I doubt the fuel pump is bad. I assumed you had the 6 cylinder engine. Ensure battery is fully charged, plus clean terminals and connections.

After it stops it stutters and dies. It will start right back in either park or neutral, but when shifted into a "movement"...
