    No heat on ten year old gas dryer
    I was able to take the front panel off the machine and the wires going into the igniter are a little orange/brown at the point that they go into the box, could that be a sign that the igniter is burnt out. The thermostat is so far back and inaccessible I don't know what to do if I could get to it.

    Orange/brown? Is there any signs of 'burn' marks?

    No burn marks, just a little discoloration on wires where they go into the igniter

    This is an automatic igniter? When you turn it on to start, it makes 'clicking' noises to start? Does it just keep on clicking, but never start up? Discoloration might just be because of age. The spark box/igniter may be bad.

    Does the ignitor glow? Does it have any breaks in it? Have you checked it for continuity? Have You tested the thermostats?
