    Wiring dodge d150
    When I bought this truck it had 2 fuesable links burnt I replaced the burnt part now a wire is smoking on the altanator and I still can't get it started.

    May have bad diodes, would take to auto parts and test alternator, regulator.
    You could, remove positive battery cable and connect bulb to circuit, remove fuses,
    Disconnect alternator, etc, until bulb goes out. DC Amprobe very helpful.
    Servive manual with schematic, very helpful also.
    It turns over, but doesn't fire?

Hi I have a 1985 Dodge 350 crew cab and the problem is the dam thing won't start. I changed the alternator , voltage regulator, the fuseable link. I can jump the truck using a scrwedriver but it won't start the key. This has got me totally buffaloed. Any help would be great
