    DAS BOOT Captains music
    In the film Das Boot (The Boat) the U-boat captain requests his favorite 78 rpm record be played. Its in french, Edith Piaf? What's the title of the song? Its not on the sound track CD. The tune is lodged in my memory. Any french trivia experts out there? Thanks

    I have found the song title, its J'attendrai by Rina Ketty (1937) and is available at AMAZON.com on a CD called Classic Hits of French Song. Les Grandes Chansons Francaises. Thank you to the 36 people who looked at my question, Cowardleelion
