    Growth hormones for teenagers
    Hello, my name is Justin.
I am 14 years of age, and currently standing at about 5 feet and 2 inches. Already going through my growth spurt and at the end of puberty. I am very intent to know if there are any hormones to help me boost my height. Now for the average american white male, usually stands around five foot 10 inches. Im on the short end of the stick, as is my father. Im having trouble coping with this Gene trait I have exchanged from both of my parents. We have talked and both agree that something to help me is definitely something to find out.
Thanks for anything and everything guys.

    -Justin.

At your age it is possible that a growth hormone may be given, remember that it may not work and is highly expensive. But only your pediatrician can recommend this. S/He will know the possibilities of this working for you.

Please have your parents make an appointment for a consultation with your pediatrician.

I would also like to add that at 14 your growth spurts are not over with. Most teenagers continue to grow until their approximately 18 years old.

You would have to speak to an endocrinologist to find out if growth therapy is right for you. At 14, you are probably not going to stop growing any time soon.

At 16 when I got my drivers licence I stood 5' 2" by the time I was 20 I stood an even 6' so just because you finished one growth spurt doesn't mean you won't hit another one. Also make sure you are eating well this will help you get full advantage of any growing you do. How tall is your father and your mother? I was very worried that I got my mothers hieght and 5' 2" was all I was going to get.
