Take off spool on bottom of wedeater by turning counterclockwise. Remove spool. Put end of line in small hole in spool and wind the line in the direction of arrow on spool

Some units have only replaceable spools that can not be reloaded. Check toyj Home Depot or Lowe's to see what is needed. On some heads they screw off, others snap on and off. Does it have 1 or 2 holes for the line?

I was recently weedeating my yard when the weedeater head popped off the stem. 13 silver washers and 1 orange washer came off with it.
