Can a home pregnancy test be wrong? How soon can I take a home test after I conceive?

Home tests can be wrong as they only have a 97% accuracy rate... but therefore the chances of this are minimal... and I think you can take a home test as little as seven days after conception. Hope this helps.

Yes, there is the possibility of a false positive or false negative. A quick trip to the doctor's office or a planned parenthood center for some bloodwork can confirm any results.

Waiting 1-2 weeks after the assumed fertilization to do one is probably best. Doing another a few days to a week later is a good idea as well.

If you go to a doctor to get test can they detect the pregnancy test sooner than a home test

A home pregnancy test has more false negatives than false positives. To be sure it is best to miss one period prior to testing.

Yes a blood test is more accurate. You still need to wait until one missed period so that the hCG is built up in the blood so as to be detected.
