    Hair is too dark !
    I tried to dye my hair a chestnut brown colour about a month or two ago and I've been using Head&Shoulders to try to get it to fade a little, but it's not really working. I've also dyed my hair once before, hoping it will change - but it didn't. I've heard about using Dawn dishwasher detergant.. but how exactly do I do it? Does it go onto my dry hair? How long am I supposed to leave it in for? Any other ways will also help me A lot. I really don't like my colour anymore! Its just... too dark!

    Definitely try the Dawn. I'd try using it on wet hair just like a shampoo, let it set just a minute or two. If it doesn't work enough, use it on dry hair, so it really can soak in without the water.

    Permanent colors will fade each time you shampoo your hair. Try using Prell or a clarifying shampoo with and warm water to help fade the color. If it doesn't work, wash your hair with liquid dish detergent. Dish detergents will lift hair color, but it can also dry out your hair. Be sure to use a conditioner afterwards to put back moisture in your hair.
