    Microwave trips circuit breaker
Please help - I'm stumped. I have a swimming pool pump, and an electric kettle all working off a 20 amp CB. The pool pump and the electric kettle will work together but not the pool pump and the microwave. The wattage of the electric kettle is 1500 and the microwave is 1100. If the amps are calculated using the voltage and wattage, the CB should trip when the electric kettle and pool pump are working but it doesn't, it trips with the lower wattage microwave.

    Any ideas.

    Thanks.

The amp for the pump and the micro wave would jump higher than the rating at start up
