Light won't come on with new ceiling fan
Help! :( I just installed a new ceiling fan with a light kit. Everything works well except the light won't turn on. I connected a white wire coming from the ceiling with the white wire coming from the fan along with the blue wire from the light kit, the black wire from the ceiling with the black wire from the fan and the copper ground wire to one green wire coming from the fan and one green wire attached to the mounting bracket. I also snapped together the lighting male/female connectors making sure to line up the color codes. What did I do wrong? Should the blue lighting wire have been connected to the black wires instead?

If fan works, hook up to that wire for test. Next, maybe bypass switch, for test.
Or if controlled by wall switch, wire together, leave switch disabled?

Sounds like you didn't hook it up correctly.

Black and blue from the fan to black from ceiling

White from fan to white from ceiling

    All green/bare/ground together.

I am currently remodeling my home and am coming across a major problem that NO ONE seems to have an answer for. I have two ceiling fans that operate via remote control. The rest of the ones in my home are the popular "pull down" chains - and those work prefectly with the new fan/light dimmers...
