I can't seem to get over the abusive relationship I was in for 4years. I am nearing 40 and because of the past I now have a partial dental plate, scars on my arms, legs, and my soul. I know I can't hold every man responsible for one man's actions; yet I can't seem to get over it. That was maybe 7 or 8 years ago, yet it's like yesterday to me. I keep picking these losers to date and that does not help matters any. I seem to be so angry in these relationships . I know this is not fair to anyone (my family,friends,me, or even the idiots I have chosen to date.) How can I let go of this anger and allow someone to get close to me?

There is a course offered at various places in the u.s.a. that will help you. In my town they offer it at a church. Previously it was called DVP but now it's called Life Skills. It has 2 tracks, a male & a female. The female track is for people in exactly your situation, who have been victimized by abusive males. The male track is for abusers.
