I would pick her poop up in a napkin and take her and it into the grass, I would pick a spot and make sure the poo touches the grass, maybe if she smells it on the grass she will begin to associate pooping with the grass. Each time she went on the porch or walkway I would clean it, then with vinegar and water, try and remove what scent was left. Try this for a week or so, hopefully she will catch on. That is my suggestion.

Are you going out with her? Take her out to the grass, using a leash or carrying her. Keep her moving except when she stops to sniff. Other important details are in the sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251809

Yeah you should try moving her poop over to the grass. Maybe if she sees and sniffs her scent on the grass she will see that as her spot and starts going on grass. My dog is the opposite of yours he will only poop on grass on concrete on indoors.

    Hey
I have the same problem, my mini dachshound won't go ountside either!
I have used all these strategies and more on our other dogs and its worked fine, but tink(the dachshound) won't go outside!
Later I have realised though, its not because she is naughty... she won't dare go inside... she, like yours, goes on the balcony or veranda. And if I carry her out, she goes, but shee hates getting her belly wet on the grass! I have now a little path which leads to the garden... no grass.. and she's a little angle!!

I guess my dachshound is just a bit of a sissy!!
    Hope to be of help!

    Xx

Try using a wee-wee pad indoors. Train her to go on that and then train her to go on the grass later.

You could try putting in a pea gravel area. That is what the dog guide school uses on their campus. It is more for the sanitation of having 400 dogs on site, but should do fine for your short legged dogs.

I am very dubious about pee pads. I see too many questions about trouble transitioning to outside and poor aim. They may have their uses for very young puppies on upper floors or too many disease bearing loose dogs around.
