    Being sued for large gift of monies
    Long story, moved, sold own home to move in with boyfriend, many promises made, marriage, never happened, however, many many gifts, of large amounts of money for trips fpr me and my daughters, me and friends, me and family, 10000.00 gift for down payment for a new car(his request), problem in question, hated me working, so he bought me a business across street from his practice, 1st year, doing good gave him some monies to pay payment of a loan he taken out for it and a new corvette, to help out since I paid nothing to live bilss, etc, since doing well I help, 2year, he cheated while in bahamas, caught, he told me not to pay him anymore monies, for anything, not that we had any agreement to pay him anyway, fine, 3year, (5-6 years later)broke up... now he sueing me for 55000.00 for money he says now is a loan. Have notes saying he bought business for me, message treatenin me cause I won't at least split selling of said business with him etc. Oh and co signed for car wants me to refinance at a higher interest wants his name off loan.

    Tell him to take you to court, he is the one who must prove it was a loan, a contract. Now he must have a sign contract, no contract, no claim.

    Hello colleen:

    Do what mr yet said.

    Additionally we get people here all the time who want to get their names, as co-signers, off loans. We tell 'em, there's nothing they can do to force the other borrower to refinance and the bank isn't going to help 'em either.

    Looks to me, like you're in the drivers seat here.
