    Shower head broke off
Yes after my shower head broke off from the main pipe I now have about 1/2" of threaded copper that I need to remove. What's the best way to remove? Thanks!

Inspect that copper carefully and see if it isn't a male fitting soldered to a straight copper pipe coming out of the wall. If it is actually a threaded pipe you will need to reach the 90 elbow behind the wall and do some desoldering. Come back tomorrow with what ou found and we'll take it from there.

I can see the elbow through the wall and it looks like it just needs to be in threaded... problem is I am not sure how to reach in and gram the remaining threads and unscrew them. Doent look like it was soldered in.

    Hey Dan,

This main pipe. Is it a chrome shower arm? (see image) This shower arm screws into a drop eared ell,(see image) behind the tile inside the wall.
So, we have a chrome shower arm coming out of the wall and connecting to the shower head. So where does 1/2" of threaded copper come in? Please explain and give us more de4tails. Regards, Tom

Yes the chrome arm goes right into what looks like the main pipe.. I don't see the eared ell. I guess it looks like chrome shower head arm goes directly to the pipe.. and part for the threads are stuck in that part...

You can take a small sharp chisel and attempt to peel the threads out or you can rent a set of easy-outs,(see image) and remove them that way. And believe me , you have a dropeared ell the threads are screwed into. Good luck, Tom
