    Bad Landlord at K-State U
Can a MN resident (parent of a K-State student) take a KS Landlord to small claims court? Also, what else can I do to file a complaint locally, so others don't experience the same unreasonable and probably illegal actions?

If the K state student was the one who signed the lease or rental agreement, they have to take them to court, not the parent.

If you as the parent signed the rental agreement or lease you can sue them. Where you live or where they live makes no differnece. You will have to sue them in the court where the offense happened.

You or perhaps the student, can file the complaint with the BBB.

Why not tell us what happened, and we can give you an opinion as to if there is a legal case.
