    CA summary divorce
Do you have to file the last papers promptly after the 6 month waiting period is up or can you file anytime after the 6 months, say a year?
    Thank you for any info.

    Hello e:

File with who? The court?? Every court in this great country of our has its OWN set of rules. You wouldn't think that would be the case, but it is.

You'll have to ask someone who knows the rules for THIS court. Or, you can probably buy a copy of them at your local college bookstore.

You may file anytime after 6 months and 1 day. Doesn't matter how long after you just can't file the final and Notice of Entry of Judgment before that date.
