    Adding name to title
    How do we add my name to the title of the house . My husband owned the house 4 yrs before iwe married he has three children,we have no children together ,we have been married 11 years

    My son and I owned a house. He had to refi in order to get me off the deed and off the mortgage. I suspect your husband will have to do a refi in order to get you ON. Check with the mortgage holder about refinancing with them (if your husband is happy with them) to get you on. You will probably have to fill out papers and allow a credit check--i.e. all the stuff you would have to do as a buyer/potential owner (which is what you are).

    Please go to the Real Estate Law Forum and look at the top of the list. There should be a sticky on how to add someone's name to a deed.
