    Just wanted to know if a convicted felon can possess a passport

    It depends on the crime, and the country. In general if your in the US, just apply normally and it's reviewed case by case to see if you are eligible to have one.

    But remember, even if you get the passport, some countries may refuse you entry with a criminal record. Again that depends on the crime and the country you want to go to.
