    Tongue piercing
    k, ii just got my tongue pierced, and I'm a smoker... but the lady told me ii couldn't smoke until after six months! But I'm not guna be able to go that long without one... so my question is as long as ii rinse my mouth out after I'm through, can ii have a ciggarette? Oh and 6-9-07 at like between 9:00 and 10:30 is when it pierced if that's helpful info. Thanks! :)

    Hi there, I'm a dental nurse and I get people asking me this question a lot.
    My advice would be is not to smoke for at least 7 days for the most healing will a cure in that time. Also it would be advisiable to keep smoking to a minimal and keep the area clean. The best thing to rinse with would be warm salty water 4 x days and corsodyl mouthwash is also very good.

    I brushed and used listerine after I smoked and I never had a problem.

    I got my tongue done and had a cigarette as soon as I got home and then used mouthwash and my tongue was fine:)
