Date not appearing on Digital Photo !
    Hi,

I have a Sony Digital camera 5.1 MP (Cybershot DSC-P93)

I accidentally switched off the "Date" option in the camera set-up.
As a result, I cannot view the date on the photo's already clicked.

Now Even after switching On the option "Date" in camera set-up, the
Date does not appear on the already clicked photo's .
Date does appear on the new photo but not on the old one.

Kindly advice if there is any way to get the "Date" on the old photographs
i.e on the Photo's when the Date option was Off.

    PLEASE HELP.

There is no way to get the camera to put the photo on the image for photos already taken, but you can add the date to the image by using a tool like Irfanview (if you use Windows). This feature is found in the Batch Conversion, in >Set advanced options >Miscellaneous, check Add Overlay Text and click on >Settings. You will need to figure out the right date code for the date (as found in the EXIF in your sony image files). One version that works for some cameras is $T(%Y%m%d) which will print the date in YYYYMMDD format - i.e. 20080913 for today's date.

Start by working with a COPY of 3-4 of the photos that don't have the date on them, and practice until you get it working the way you want, with the text the right size, in the right place on the image, and the dates working correctly. Then select ONLY the images that don't already have a date to run the batch operation on just those images. It is always best to work on a COPY of the images, in case something goes wrong you have the unaltered images and can start again (with another copy).
