Can't open windows XP desktop folder
    Hello,

My father had a motherboard failure on his computer. He decided to get a new computer. But there is a folder on the desktop of his old computer called PICTURES that he wants to access.

I installed his old HD into the new computer as a second HD. I am able to access the DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS folder, and his subfolder BOB. But when I try to access the DESKTOP folder where the PICTURE folder is, I get a message D:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\BOB\DESKTOP IS NOT ACCESSIBLE, ACCESS DENIED.

I assume this is because he had to enter a password to log into windows on his old computer. Naturally, he knows his password. So how can we access this file?

I have Info Accelerator and had to reformat my hard drive. All the entries to my phone book need to be restored, but I don't know how to restore them from my desktop, where the back up folder is located. When I open Accelerator and go to file/open, I can't enter the desktop location in the window to open the back up phone book.
