I really appreciate it.
Back in the "day" it was hilarious to us smokers when the non smokers got as buzzed as we were just from inhaling our second hand smoke. Don't let anyone tell you different, as this does still happen, and children are more susceptible than adults. Contact highs are not limited to just pot either as crack (cocaine) and meth in smokeable forms are also given to this second hand high effect on non users, and over time has been known to lead to experimenting by non users. You can never know when that "just trying it to see what all the fuss is about" can lead to trying again, and again. It's a matter of situation and circumstance.
Imagine if you will, you enjoyed YOUR contact experience without a headache. While no one can predict who becomes an addict, or why, the chances increase greatly if you hang around the user crowd, and get caught up in their insanity, by accident or choice, and even though you had a headache reaction this time it's more likely than not you will not the next time.
Why even take that chance of having your hopes and dreams shattered by a POSSIBLE bad decision? You may as well start practicing the skill of knowing when to avoid, and remove yourself from those situations. I challenge you to read the posts in this ADDICTIONS forum of such situations of others already caught up in the system, and the stress and worry and consequences that bad decisions have wrecked on their lives. Better yet look around at the group you were just with. Bet one or more has PROBLEMS, or ISSUES tied to being a user!
Yes it DOES happen, and to think it cannot happen to you would be quite foolish. Until they change the laws,
I strongly advise you to stay within them, and enjoy your other options and opportunities that being drug free can bring you. Don't exchange the chance for your dream job/life for a temporary feel good that may bring dire consequences, stress and worry later and
it is that simple.
So is making a decision to stay away from the user crowd and not have to worry and stress about failing a drug test because as has been said such incidental contact is to small to detect or fail you. Relax and be happy but be careful too in the future.
