    General Ledger versus General Journal
Does the number of entries in the general journal equal the number of entries in the general ledger. Why?

No.. not really they entries can never be same on each side.. shouldn't be..! But if what matters is that they should balance.. on legder or journal... because when they both balance that shows that entries are complete and on the right sides!
    Hope it helps !
