    Apple trees

I would like to get information about rehabing apple trees.
The tree's belong to a friend. There are two.
For several years the tree's have produced fruit that is knarly
And not really edable. They are badly thatched and need
Pruned. I have read several articles on pruning them but I am
Not finding direct information on remedying pests and fertilization. I would like to help him get the tree's to produce
Worm free nicely formed edable fruit at their best.

    Thanks.

    Re: Apple trees
To produce nice apples requires frequent spraying starting maybe before the blossoms form. I would suggest looking at sprays where gardening supplies are sold, and following the directions on the package.
