    W2 Elective Deferrals?
    Hi ATE!
    I am an Indian Citizen.
    I was on F1 visa from August 2002 - October, 2005 (on OPT from December 2004 - October, 2005)
    On H1B from October 1st, 2005 - Current.
I do not meet the substantial presence test.
As I understand from the previous threads, I should fill 1040 NR? And can Claim the standard deduction and personal exemption? Correct?

WEll! I have a question regarding the W2 Box 12S( elective deferrals)...where is this amount entered in the 1040 NR or 1040NREZ??
    Thanks!

Correct; you file as a non-resident alien and can claim both standard deduction ($5,000) and personal exemption ($3,200).

NONE of the entries in Box 12 is entered anywhere on Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ (or any other tax form, for that matter).
