You can try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Check the manual to see what a "control lock" is. That's the trouble with those computerized appliances. With the proper literature, the appliance can almost explain to you what's wrong, but without the proper literature, your up the creek.

I have seen a number of posts on this issue. Yesterday my toddler also just set the "control lock" on this dishwasher. Unfortunately unplugging and/or turning off the power does not work (tried last night - turned off power all night to machine) All you need to do is press (and hold for 10 seconds) the no heat dry button.

Worked for me too! Thanks Jenniez123. The button on mine is the Heated Dry button. Manual and instructions on the door says to push it 4 seconds. It needed 8-10 seconds to get it "unstuck". Thanks again, now I have clean dishes.

For some who doesn't have the no heat setting and has the air dry one just push it for 4 to 10 sec and it will unlock the dishwasher.

Notes on the 665 manual... "The dishwasher door can be opened while the controls are locked. You can turn on lock while dishwasher is running. If you press ANY pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light flashes 3 times. Press on hold NO HEAT DRY for 4 seconds. The light turns off. Might work on yours, hasn't fixed mine! mdcase

My door wouldn't close. Seemed to be the latch. I pressed down gently on the silver latch on the tub side and latch would now engage. Simple. Cancelled repairman.
