    Why we genrate 220 volts
    Why we genrate 220 or 110 VAC... why not we genrate 200 volts or 180 volts

    Who generates 220 volts?

    We don't in the USA... and what you call 220v in the USA is actually 110v in two legs that the phases are 180 degrees opposed.

    Thus a 220v difference of potiential even if its only 110v.


    Outside the USA however true 220v single phase power does exist.
