Gosh everyone, thanks.
I really am so happy. I still can't believe it.
It's so hard to get in with Capital Health, I can't believe they picked me.
Now I just have to get my car fixed and I'm all good. ;)

Sounds to me like you will now have the money to go get the other car... correct?

I could, but we're going to stick with my van for a while.
The van only has 53,000 km on it. Yes, it's a 2001, but the only problem was the problem
We're having fixed.
I would like something smaller, to save on gas, but I think I'll wait. This job will be in my neighborhood, a 10 minute drive if the lights are against me. ;)
We really need to pay off a few other things and I'd like to put some money away so
That we can take the kids camping next year.

What's that word? All the women I love are specialists in spending... (kidding, although somewhat true... ) :)
Yep, you've given me another reason to say I'm proud of you. (For whatever that is worth to you? :) Hoping that it is... )

:o
Thanks Stringer.
I never claimed to be like most women. ;)
I'm the penny pincher in our family, always have been, at least when it comes to things for me. I have trouble spending even $10 on a new shirt, I'd rather buy something for the kids.
Hubby actually gives me a hard time about it, but, when we're out at the store, even if I really need something, I'll usually end up putting it back so he and the kids can get something instead.
I was raised to save money. I was also raised to support myself and no matter how much I do at home, take care of the kids, etc. etc. I still have a hard time accepting that I don't bring in any money.
Does any of that make sense to anyone other then me?

Yes, but guess what? Now you are a wage earner. It will get old fast if eventually you don't treat yourself too.

I haven't treated myself in over 10 years, it's become a habit.
Something tells me, knowing me, that I'll be spending my wages on the household and the kids, if hubby doesn't get his hands on it and buy that big screen TV he wants.
I may buy a new winter jacket and boots because I need them. :)
