Hi. I want to cry my eyes out.

I have a fever of 101 or so my thermometer says :( I cannot sleep. I'm drinking a ton of water and this massive headache is absolutely horrible.

I'm 1 hour away from a hospital, and if I go there I'd have to drive through these narrow roads by through the mountains with only my headlights to guide me and hoping that a deer doesn't pop out of nowhere.

Oooh I hate being sick. I hate it so bad. I honestly feel like I'm going to die. I feel like my breathing has shortened and my throat is so dry even with the massive amount of water I drink.

Oh well who wants to listen to me whine.

Boohoo wish me health guys-- feeling like sh!t would be an understatement right now.

    :( A super sick Sarah

Muddy if you are that sick (even with the flu) then call a local doctor and he/she will probably see you as soon as possible. In your age group, don't mess with this flu hon.

Hi Sheriff! I'm at home today. At last a true resting week is starting! My first week had the robot project, my second my debate. Speaking of which, I have to remove it from my sig now...

Already had my dinner... lots of mosquitoes... but else, I'm fine thanks! :)

Two great things about freezing and snow in winter Unky; no mosquitoes and Christmas ! I am getting ready to haul all my Christmas displays out of the basement and start decorating soon. First I have to stage everything so I know what and where everything is. Then start with the larger displays and then the lighting. As you know, I am really looking forward to this, it reduces a lot of my stresses...

And we have having the Thanksgiving dinner here, should be about16 to 20 people.

Unky you have been very busy lately, I am glad that you will have some time to relax bud.

All work and no fun makes Unky a dull boy... ha ha... :)

Relax and just do what you like this next week.

    Lol!

I just noticed today that the shops started to put up the Christmas decorations. One problem with the annual synthetic christmas tree (the natural ones are more costly each time:(). I think that ants have made their nest in it.

These are small black ants I don't know where they come from. They try to make their nest in everything!! In key holes, in a battery charger (AA size batteries), a correction tape, under the dining table made of wood... They get into jugs of water, the latter of which tastes really bad afterwards, grrrr.

They stink, really stink!! The smell could go for miles if they were to be grilled!

Got an insecticide, put it in the veranda. You could see all the ants getting out of it as soon as I put it on the floor ugh! Even thinking of it again makes my stomach go upside down... :(

There are sprays that you can put around your home that will keep them out. But if they are being brought in on items that they are already in, then that won't help much...

I've been trying many things... well actually three. Spraying whenever they are somewhere, killing them one by one with a piece of tissue (well, several dozens!) and using a poison powder.

Other ants present die with that, but not that one ant. It only looks for water it seems...

I am not an expert in this Unky, however, I would be careful if you have other pets around, this could be dangerous to them.

Poor Unky being invaded by ants :(

We have a powder you can buy here and sprinkle around to kill them.

Post a question in the Pest Control forum and see if Cats can help. He just went shopping so it may take some time before he gets to it.

I hate to say it... but in Mauritius is not really like in Canada, US, Europe, Australia...

I know no one keeping dogs in the house. They are kept in the garden/yard. I don't think Dixy (my dog) is unhappy about it, she happy all right.

So, less risks... except when she lets her hunter instinct get over her and chase lizards, geckos through the plants

    Hi Cat and Shazzy! :)

    Congrats Shazzy! :)

Fortunately, they have not been so 'active' those past few weeks. So, I'll perhaps let it be like that. Plus I can't get a picture of them to be able to identify them :(

I wanted to also say congrats Shaz, glad that you are happy. But you are now removed from the 'available' list... :) We should probably show some compassion for KC here... :):)
