Sweet Alty, we are all a little apprehensive about posting our work on the thread because it makes us a little vulnerable but when one is given a talent, one is not to hide it under a bushel basket, or something like that! LOL It is meant to be shared.
Each artist who shares, is sharing a very private part of who they are inside, whether it is painting, music, poetry, stories, etc. My work does not compare to a lot of the artists work on the thread but I think it enhances all of our lives when we can get a glimpse into some one's life through their art work. I enjoyed so much seeing your dad's work and yours. I encourage you to take the leap!

Rebbie, your post made me cry, I don't know why. Thanks all for the support. I'm still thinking about posting it on the art forum, I will think about it. I'm glad you all enjoyed it, because it gives me allot of pleasure, that's why I do it, or did, haven't for 7 years. I think it's also hard because of what it means to me, the fact that it's something I shared with my dad, and he's gone, so is my mom, they both died in 2001. I still have a hard time with it, they both meant so much to me, their absence is something I'm still not used to, I don't think I ever will be.
My dad's art brings me peace, I look at it and remember when he made it, the fun we had, the classes we took, the jokes and laughter. I don't know if I'll ever be able to experience that again with my art.
Thanks all, you are all such great friends. What would I do without you, I hope I never have to find out.

Rebby, you sure have a way of explaining things, that's for sure. So true. We do support you Alty. And if I may say so, there are lots of people there that know so much that could help you with your story pics too... Really, I promise. I hope you grab the bull by the horns on that book and your art... you may find something old inside you just waiting to come out. I sure hope so. I have tears in my eyes knowing it has been seven years, I hope something gets crazy and starts to bug you so you can let it all out. :):) Hugs!

Jeesh, Starty, now I'm crying again, but they're all good tears. You all mean so much to me, your advice, and caring words. I love all of you so much.
Still thinking about posting. The book, well I'm going all the way with that, and I'm doing the illustrations, come heck or high water. The painting, well, I'll see. My daughter is interested, but she's only 5, still, no time like the present, we can do it together, keep the family tradition alive. :)

I have a picture of Starduck in my head, now I just have to get her on paper. I hope Starby approves when it's done. Starduck is a blond duck with blue eyes, I hope I can do her justice. :)
Thanks all for the wonderful comments, I really appreciate it. Can't believe posting a few pics lead to all this. ;)

It was about a boy who found a dragon (the dragon was the cartoon part) and a family tried to take it away from him. They were trying to make a profit off him or something. Its characters look run-down kind of like chimney sweepers back in the day.

Power goes out in part of house w/out tripping breaker Part 2
[ 2 Answers ]
How would I use a voltage tester? Would I go from outlet to outlet measuring the voltage? I've gone around the house and tightened outlets and opened the panel and tightened the screws that were not tight.
I haven't seen the lights dim since I tightened everything.
Thanks a lot!
