Hehe caffeine patches... remnds me of "meet the robinsons"... cute movie if you haven't seen it. My son loved it, but I was sobbing like a baby. Lol... not sad, just sweet.

Good Luck Startover... I quit smoking 12 days ago. I found that suckers help a lot. You use your mouth and hand... so it helps with that oral fixation thing... I did however have a relapse on the caffeine... but I did switch back to regular coke from Diet, and believe me I am drinking far less of that liquid sugar... blech!

How is everyone today? You all were busy last night...

Good morning everyone, hope all is good. I am just now getting my first cup of coffee. I told my husband I am quitting so I really have to do it now. Deep breaths all day and I should be good. At least till I wake up tomorrow morning! Let me get more coffee, and geeze what time is it there, it is only 7:15 here.

2 hours going strong. I can't turn back now... The sunshine is gone today, a little dreary, perfect time to plant some pretty flowers out front. Keep myself busy and take deep breaths. See you later.

That does sound beautiful. We have a huge garden for the first time so we will be tilling for the next week. Can't wait to see the kids pull their carrots and such from the garden. That is priceless. Kids seem to think it all grows at the store. Anyway, good luck with the lavender, I love walking by those, they smell wonderful.

    Startover... you're doing great!

Great idea to keep busy--I found occasionally that meditation helped get over the worst of the cravings, and if that didn't work, I just took a walk! Of course, I quit in January, when being outside was a good reminder of why I quit in the first place!

Very nice, Synnen. January huh? Good job. Every time I quit, I just took long deep breaths like I am taking a good long drag off my marlboro red and ahhhhh, that curves the cravings for about 3 days for me, then it is on my way to repairing what I have been doing to my poor body. You can come to our house and get our garden in shape, I could use some help and support.

You know... if I could, I would. My mother says the same thing!

Hopefully, we will buy a house this year, and can have a garden of our own next year!

Hey... we're proud of you, Startover.

It takes guts to admit that you're addicted to something, and then to DO something about it :)

Yes, thank you. I am going to get those flowers ready!

I wonder if I am going to be a "witch" in my posts, or mean. I think I will watch myself and see what happens. I am not too worried, it just crossed my mind.

A lot of wittering! I guess you needed more then an hour to read all of it. Lol

Wait until we get all of these pages filled up. Oh, maybe we should reminise sometimes and bring in some of the jokes over here to this thread. Lol

Especially the one about the monkey. Never laughed so hard. I think I pissed and crapped myself at the same time.
