    The numbers are for the fingers the you would use in your right hand in order to play the notes.

    The number three would be your third, or middle finger. Your little finger would be the number five.

    What do you think the number of your thumb would be then?

    Yes, the thumb would be number one. Your left-hand thumb would also be number one. Our hands are the opposite of each other, but the fingers are numbered the same.

    What kind of note is this?

    It's a quarter note. An eighth note would have a flag. How many flags would a sixteenth note have?

    And, how many flags and what kind of note would be the next one after the sixteenth note if we're going up in numbers but shorter in the time duration of the notes?

    1 ='s a whole note.
    2 ='s a half note.
    4 ='s a quarter note.
    8 ='s an eighth note.
    16 ='s a sixteenth note.
    32 ='s a 32nd note.

    and, so on.

    Here is the first page of your song again. What do you think are the letter names of the first two notes in the treble clef part, please?

    You're close. They're "C"'s. Based upon what you've already learned, what finger of your right hand do you think that you would use on the two "C"'s?

    I'll catch you later! We'll learn this stuff yet!

    Goodnight and sweet dreams to you! :)
