yes Joe, we got about 7 inches so far and they expect it to continue tonight through tomorrow in Chicago. I have heard that each inch of rain is comparable to 7 inches of snow; that would be 49 inches so far with more to come if this was winter....

So I made an oopsy today.

I'm at the cash register at the restaurant... and I'm usually very animated... I talk to every customer, try to find out how they're doing, what they're up to that day, etc... just to entertain them while the food is being prepped.

Today, I was doing the same thing with this one girl, that I could have SWORN looked... 24... 25... and I admit, I was being a LITTLE flirty...

... until I asked her what she did for a living and she said, "um...I'm a sophomore...in high school"

Guess what I'm doing on my birthday? I'm painting Sydney's room and putting laminate flooring in. I actually spent my birthday money on the flooring. You know what my sweetheart said to me this morning? "Mommy, you spent all day yesterday filling in holes on my wall, sanding, washing the walls, taking out the carpet and painting. Today is your birthday, you should do what you want, you can finish my room tomorrow". Isn't she precious? :)
