I used to have a '68 Dodge Charger R/T, 440 Mag, 400 horses, Hurst 5 speed on the floor with a 4/11 rear end.......dark forest green with two white bumble bee stripes on the a$$. Two door, reversed leaf springs...puppy would burn a$$........and roar like a pi$$ed off lion.:D :eek:

Cool! I belonged to the local car club, and we used to meet every Fri. night on the race track right outside of town (just a seldom used hwy is what it was) There were a few Chargers, and a really nice black and yellow Super Bee that I almost got killed in! :eek:

Funny... Starduck, my mommy always taught me to not talk with my mouth full... :D :)

I know Starby, I have soooooo many stories about my cars and drag racing also...

We too had an unfinished 4 lane highway that we painted a white line across to mark the quarter mile line. Won most of the races but several times I almost killed myself and others... it was crazy, but man that racing bug is hard to get rid of.

Like I was saying I still "play" a little on the local highway near me now... Play with all but the big Vets and the Cobras. This little Volvo C 70 has a supercharged 6, 275 horses in front of this little body, auto and stick combined... all black in and out... motor and pipes sound... greeeeeaaaaaaaatttt!!

Yes Stringer... there may have been a little somein-somein involved! All I remember was doing three complete 360's in the Super Bee... and ending up on the sidewalk! Almost took out the window of a dress shop!

EDIT: I forgot... classy, very classy. I am always getting stopped by kids, adults and old people wanting to know.. "What kind of car is that, looks great"?
