This must be the Dems' line of attack against Rick Santorum, how he dealt with his stillborn child was weird. First, Alan Colmes - who reduced Mrs. Santorum to tears (though he later apologized). Now, WaPo columnist Eugene Robinson
chimes in on the weirdness.
"He's not a little weird, he's really weird," Robinson said of Santorum. "And some of his positions that he has taken are just so weird that I think that some Republicans are off-put. Not everybody is not going to be down, for example, with the story of how he and his wife handled the stillborn child. It was a body that they took home to kind of sleep with it, introduce it to the rest of the family. It's a very weird story."
No, it's not a weird story, people deal with the loss of a child in various ways and the Santorum's way to handle the situation was
entirely understandable. Should they have just tossed the child in the trash?
If only she had just aborted the lad instead...
