After TX, I will never be truly afraid of spiders up here again.

There, a spider you missed with your shoe could kill you. Here, they might just bite you a little. Besides... they eat da bugs!

We built a swingset for my daughter last weekend, and it is already full of spiders. Any idea how to prevent them? I don't want to put out pesticides because of my kids and small dogs.

I found a brown recluse in my sink last night that was the size of a 50 cent piece. I tried to smash it but in went down the drain before I could so I dumped some cleaner down there and ran the hot water. I hope I killed the sucker...

Oh, now we have brown recluses here too. I have been bitten by one and man is that BAD! That was about 17 years ago and I still have problems with the bite area from time to time.

That is funky and I am not going to sleep well tonight. I have a hard time getting myself to sleep and when I have thoughts of spiders it will add an hour.

That's one thing I liked about Alaska... the only bugs were flies (and they were real slow cause it was so cold, so killing them was easy) and mosquitoes. Now they are mosquitoes like I have never seen before!

My dad was a gandy-dancer in Alaska during the 50s when the oil pipes were being built. He said he has never seen mosquitoes as large as they are in Alaska. I guess only the strong bugs survive there.

I am from Arkansas and the rice fields breed mosquitoes by the millions, they are small, fast and mean!

I hate bugs. I scream like a, well never mind. Just do not like them.

Now all I am thinking about is that big spider that I could not catch that I found in the closet among the cloths. It was a size of width wise the size of a orange. My God, I still do not know where it is.

    Now try sleeping.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm too lazy to change my avatar often. I have a bajillion great pictures that I've taken, and a GREAT avatar on another board, but it's animated, and I'm not high enough here to have animation. It runs through pictures of each of the Seven Deadly Sins. A friend of mine made it for me :)

I have to say, too, that I'm really getting sick of people deciding that all teenagers should choose adoption for their babies. Grrrrr... it just makes me angry! They only see the good parts of adoption, not the horror stories, or the trauma and counseling people have to go through for years!
