Good morning everyone. I just got the boys off to school and I'm off for a doctors appoint. Syn you're lucky. You got to be a wench and I was the scullery maid cleaning out the boys bedroom. NOW There's A BIT OF FUN. Hubby made pork chops last night while I recovered. Love to all. Have a god day and I'll check in later. Has a good day to you to Joe. Hope you're feeling better.

We make our niece Lauren pretend to sneeze down the blocks when she's going to knock them all over . The great thing about being around kids is you get to play with toys you haven't even thought of in years, and end up having more fun with them than the kids do.

I just thought that I should warn you... my calendar today states that oysters, chocolate, strawberries, champagne, alcohol, anchovies, rhinoceros horn, snake blood, spanish fly and carrots are NOT aphrodisiacs. Shhhh... don't tell Mr. Synnen. I want chocolate strawberries and champagne for Valentine's day!

We don't have kids... makes a HUGE difference.

Plus... that was part of the deal when we started dating. We both were talking about pet peeves that we'd had with past relationships, and one of mine was forgetting important days, like Valentines, and birthdays, and anniversaries, etc.

My husband has never missed a single one, and I think it's due to that discussion.

I'm going to talk him into going out to dinner on Thursday, and the "one month anniversary" of our quitting smoking :P

We usually do silly things for it. One year, we exchange the AWFULLEST Valentines we could find... stuff like "I love you so much I even love your farts!" We laughed soooo hard. Most of the time, it's just an excuse to justify a wanted expense, rather than a needed one... one year, we got cell phones for each other, another year it was the DVD player.

I don't want to work today. I'll admit it. It's snowing outside, and yucky, and I just wish I were at home with a good book and some classical music!

I don't think I'll ever again get used to MN winters. I have a feeling that once our parents are no longer around, my husband and I will be moving someplace warmer again... so only 30 years or so more of ick weather!

Who is her favorite person? Is that something I've missed from previous posts?

I love watching toddlers dance. They are so carefree about it. We could take lessons from them!

Hi, am a complete newbie so here goes!
Just wanted to offer you my support and let you know that stopping is totally do-able, one of the hardest things is to get to the point where you want to give up AND want to do something about it. I had to go cold turkey when I fell pregnant, then I went back to smoking after he was born. I am quite highly strung(! ) so like you used to have one to keep me calm! I just got to the point one day where I'd look at my littlun' and think to myself that I wouldn't get to see him grow up if I didn't stop smoking. This thought hurt me more than anything and it got to the point where every time I had one this was on my mind; I'd dream up heartbreaking scenarios of me having to tell my children that I was dying, because I had a habit that I couldn't break. So I went cold turkey again and managed to quit! Patches did work for my husband (free from the 'quit smoking clinic'). Not for me-i had to break my routine up e.g. normally I''d have a fag & a coffee before I went to work -i replaced that with changing to tea and waiting until I got to work to have it.
Anyway, sorry to blather on, didn't mean to write an essay, just wanted to say that if you really want to quit - YOU CAN DO IT!!
