Good morning, everyone, and welcome back Tus!
Yes, I started my shopping: big trip to the big bookstore here!
They've even got a website! Chamblin's Books - Used, New, and Out of Print
It's always fun to roam the isles!

I might have to do a little cyber roaming today too.
I am looking for something to help my husband get the leaves out of the gutter.
I love bookstores. I am going to check that out.

    Thanks Cap

I've seen a device that goes on the end of a garden hose. It has an angled head that allows you to wash the gutters. I don't know how effective it is.
I have to clean pine straw (8 - 12"+ needles!) manually from my gutters. It is a pain!

That is my concern. Would we just be better off putting me on the ladder and sending me up on the roof? With him having knee surgery I do not want him on the roof...

I am doing great. How are you doing?

Did you find any really great deals Shattered?
I am always amazed by those who brave the masses and go shopping on that Friday.
I just could not do it, of course I don't have any kids yet so that might change.

I think it is rather ridiculous and pointless to do that kind of mad dash shopping.. I got talked into it and it was my first time... OH the peer pressure~~~! LOL I caved in.. WEll, I guess I did get a few good deals but I felt rather foolish standing in lines for things when people all around the world have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.. it made me feel kind of stupid actually. BUT.. we are going to do some holiday cards for the elderly people at the retirement home and visit them. I also want to do some other projects that will teach my children about community service and charity... rather than the next thing to have. I am afraid they are overindulged as it is.. I really would love to take them to another country one year, during the holidays so they can see what the rest of the world does.. we live in such a bubble oversaturated by the media and advertising. My kids have NO IDEA about the REAL world and that scares me and saddens me. OK how did I go off in this direction.. I guess I feel rather silly saying I went shopping. I am disappointed in myself for falling into this trap...
On another note... I feel very thankful and appreciative for all the people in my life and the love that I share with all of them... that includes all YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE>

START I will call you today... YOU are going to Yoga right now?? OK COOL

See I would take part (I am shopping on line right now), but I just can't handle the people. To many in a small place. You are right about the people around the world. But, don't feel bad, you were just doing something fun for you.

I am doing it on my own, Shattered... Silly... see, when you leave for toooo long you miss the good stuff...
    LMAO
Shattered honey, I feel the same way about waking up and wanting to be mixed in with all those people, seem pointless to stand in line like that. And honestly, I hardly ever buy gifts at the mall... as far as the kids go, you do a wonderful job with them... they can have both worlds, the I like to have stuff and I know where it is coming from. As we grow older, we get into situations that teach us certain things... Just like Megan at her school, ahhhh yes... those kinds of things! Ok, got to do it now, or I will have to wait till later for my junk! Ok... bye for now sweets!
