I think its disgusting to use the veterans in your hostage scheme to extort the government. Defund and delay Obama Care didn't work, so now it's the vet's turn huh?

Don't cry about Vets benefits when it's your side that is blocking them . Pelosi Reid and the emperor had no problem signing the military pay exception.

Tom an excellent comment but what do you take away from it. Stop QE immediately, raise interest rates and start to behave responsiblely. What you need is a slap up the head with a wet fish

And naturally you think it's all Republicans' fault. It isn't their fault the emperor and Dingy Harry won't negotiate a compromise.
What about the rest of the freakin country besides Washington. All those small businesses that support the military bases. How about all those veteran programs that service the veterans.
Nor are Republicans the ones being a total and inexcusable a$$ over the shutdown.
Reid: ‘Why Would We Want To’ Help One Kid With Cancer?
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D. Nev.) asked why Senate Democrats would want to fund the National Institutes of Health to “help one child who has cancer” Wednesday when asked that question by CNN reporter Dana Bash.
DANA BASH: You all talked about children with cancer unable to go to clinical trials. The House is presumably going to pass a bill that funds at least the NIH. Given what you’ve said, will you at least pass that? And if not, aren’t you playing the same political games that Republicans are?
HARRY REID: Listen, Sen. Durbin explained that very well, and he did it here, did it on the floor earlier, as did Sen. Schumer. What right did they have to pick what part of government is going to be funded? It’s obvious what’s going on here. You talk about reckless and irresponsible. Wow. What this is all about is Obamacare. They are obsessed. I don’t know what other word I can use. They’re obsessed with this Obamacare. It’s working now and it will continue to work and people will love it more than they do now by far. So they have no right to pick.
BASH: But if you can help one child who has cancer, why wouldn’t you do it?
REID: Why would we want to do that? I have 1,100 people at Nellis Air Force base that are sitting home. They have a few problems of their own. This is — to have someone of your intelligence to suggest such a thing maybe means you’re irresponsible and reckless –
BASH: I’m just asking a question.
Why do Dems hate kids so much?
And you worry about barricades that can be swept aside by a child?
And this is the barrycade set up at the WWI memorial.
Now you tell me why they'd block vets from the WWII memorial, moving barricades in with FORKLIFTS, but not secure the other sites that way?
You guys are sicker than I thought.
You're not paying attention to what the a$$holes on the left are doing. See above.

Bonehead let the TParty shut the government down, and with the same ease he can IGNORE the TParty and get things opened again. The rest is pure BS by you guys.
No more of this nitpick and choose which hostages you want to release. NO DEAL, NO TALK, without a clean vote.

And there you have it, the regime is holding kids with cancer, WWII vets and FLOTUS' Twitter account hostage in a pathetic game of shutdown theater in hopes Republicans will cave to all your demands and you call what we're doing BS? Get a clue, Tal, the opposing side is there to oppose your BS, not be your political doormat.

The Dems are on record for voting against keeping kids with cancer NIH funded . The Dems are on record for voting against keeping Vets benefits funded . The Dems are on record for voting the keep the national parks closed. The emperor is on record for trying to stir up panic in the markets last night . Let's see what outrages they will do today.

“During the course of my presidency I have bent over backwards to work with the Republican Party and have purposely kept my rhetoric down,”

You guys are on record for shutting the whole government down, and not opening it back up. 43 votes to repeal Obama Care went no where, so you shut the government down to stop Obama Care. Prez said HELL NO!! So now you trot out one hostage after another, instead of taking one simple easy vote.
Okay at a billion bucks a week you rack up a hellluva bill. A bill to open the government is before the house, but that would expose the utter stupidity of the TParty. Dems already agreed to the repubs budget.
Take it and move on!

Notice how the emperor tried to tie the shutdown to the upcoming debt limit negotiations. He claims there will be no negotiations on that either even though there have always been negotiations with every previous debt limit increase. It's his intransigency that caused the shut down and may cause a default . It's on his watch ! 50 years from now ,no one will remember Speaker Bonehead ,Reid and Madame Mimi . All they will remember is that he presided over these times ,and was a failure.

They still remember Newt being an idiot who lost his job over the last shutdown. And Clinton is making out okay. Hell he made out great. Will Bonehead be remembered the same way?
If you or I are around in 50 years you can say I told you so.
