This a fantasy--no need of the stats to make it unfun! I have often thought of winning the lotto, of course you have to play to win! Pay off bills of mine and my closet relatives and my church.

Wow, what's it like in China? You must have allot of interesting stories to tell. Is there any good chocolate there? What's the coffee like?;)
As for the skiing, not going to happen. I've skied twice in my life and discovered (not easily) that I am not meant to stick long posts on my feet, go up a mountain, aim for the bottom and hope that I make it. Too many trees, animals that run in my path, children that laugh etc. etc. I'll sit in the chalet with hot chocolate and cold chocolate and every chocolate imaginable. :D
Ding, better idea, go on a trip around the world sampling their chocolates and their coffee.
I'm going to buy a lottery ticket, if I win you might hear from me.:p

That's a good point, pounds is more than dollars right now. Hmmmm... wonder if you could trick the lottery people in to giving the prize in pounds??
Probably not :(

If I won the lottery, in addition to what I have already posted, I'd take a month and tour China again. China is simply divine... once you get past the strange food and the horrid cultural lack of cleanliness (don't ask!), you're pleasantly and completely surprised by the historical legacy of the country. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I've been to Inner Mongolia, the Gobi Desert, the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace, Tienanmen Square, Xi'an and the Terra-Cotta Soldiers, the Ice Festival near Russia, and on and on. Its an amazing book of memories.
I taught at a college for two years - it was amazing. The coffee? Strong and black... mmm... The tea is amazing as well, especially Jasmine Flower tea... yum. And the food? Wow... its divinity. Chinese food outside of China is not authentic Chinese food. Unless, of course, you go to Chinatown in SanFran or NYC.
Yup, I'd tour China if I won a fortune.
And I'm LOVING the coffee/chocolate tour... That's one of the best suggestions yet! ;)

My first skiing experience was at Rabbit Hill when I was still a teen, I ended up taking of my ski's and walking down the hill half way through. Nope, definitely not a skier.

I'd love to visit China when my kids are older, my son is 9 and my daughter is 5. I do plan on going back to Germany with hubby and kids in tow in the summer 2009. I can't wait to see my relatives and show my kids were mommy was born.
If I don't win the lottery I'll send you some chocolate from Germany. The coffee isn't great there but the beer is very good, I'll have a toast to all of you.;)

If I won something like 20 million £ pounds
Buy a massive house.
Loads of Cars (Ferrari,Buggati Veyron,Mercedes Mclaren SLR)
Tons of really expensive technology around the house that would leave me with about 17 million.
Once I have spent 3 million and have 17 million left over I would prob buy a property in DUBAI and Australia and the USA as holiday homes :)
So have 15 million left then do what I want for the rest of it for years to come!
Maybe start up my own business or just chill at home and go out everyday knowing the worst thing I have to worry about is my health and family's health nothing else would matter near enough the perfect life :P and without the fame to piss you off! Great

I went to Germany for two months when I was sixteen, stayed with relatives, went travelling, and gained twenty pounds because of the chocolate. Ah memories. Think of me after work, I think I might be in the mood for a toast after watching survivor.

Nope, computers... :) LOL!
Dad kept climbing the ladder and relocating. His last job was his dream job - CEO of the Baltimore branch of an international company.
China was for me - that was my dream!

Sounds great! I'd like to go there someday. But first on the list is a tour of South America.

You just won the lottery. The jackpot is 10 million, paid in 20 equal, annual payments starting today. In present-value terms, how much did you really win? Use an annual interest rate of 6.6%.
Any clues?

I've noticed an Ohio store clerk lottery winner of a million dollars, decided to take $50,000 annually for a number of years. After IRS taxes it would be only $34,000 annually. That a 68% tax bite.
So I guess IRS has a certain tax rate for gambling proceeds. Too bad
