Yup, Sunday afternoon I decided to go and chill by the pool. I was only going to stay out there for 20 minutes - you know, FL sun - and then come back in. I got to talking... 2 hours later, I'm crispy!

Now I have this nifty halter top sunburn... BUT I have to wear the same necklace for a week, because its now imprinted on my neck...

My head is still all fuzzy though... this mental junk really stinks.

    Ya...
I just messed up or at least it looks like I did. Don't have to be to work till 10 on Mondays... the kids' bus came early so I had to take them to school, geeze... I suppose we could wait down there for 15 or 20 minutes, but in the rain that could get really old. Hmmph!

Oh well, that's life I guess. How about a good quote for the other thread Chicky? I would love to be inspired!:)

    Morning all, sad Alty here.

It finally happened, Sydney had a mental break down at school.

Everything was fine this morning, she got dressed, got ready, got in the car, we got to the school, she got out of the car and then said that she had a tummy ache. I told her that it was probably just nerves and she'd be fine.

She insisted that she wasn't but perked up when she saw her friends. I decided that it was nerves and that I'd stick to my guns and make her go.

Well the teacher had to rip her off me and I had to leave with my baby crying her eyes out, saying "I want my mommy". Not enough coffee in the world today I'm afraid. I know she's fine, but the last thing I heard, that last little scream, that's what's sticking in my memory today. :(

Dang Alty, sorry you and her had to go through that. I have been through those days.

Today though, Jett (7) and Max (5) went to school, I had to drop them off so I got the pleasure of Maxy taking Jetts hand and watch them walk down the corridor. I always tell Jett to make sure Max gets to his class first, and that is just what he did... ya, I had tears in my eyes, and they were good!

Aw, Starty, that's precious. You should take a camera along tomorrow, get a picture. Of course if you take the camera they probably won't do it. ;)

Darnit, I hope Sydney is okay. No call from the school, but that doesn't mean anything. She had a bad day on Friday too, she peed in her pants and didn't tell anyone. I could smell it when she got home, but she was dry, so it must have happened in the morning. I asked her why, and she said she was too shy to raise her hand and ask to go potty. :(

This is going to be tough, I hope it doesn't last long. Great, now I have a tummy ache.

I'm sorry Alty... that sounds a little rough...

But just think of how happy they'll be to come home :)

Might not help much now, but you did the right thing - don't want them afraid to go to school forever right?
