Tus, here's an idea: Give the parents a copy of the text book, eh??

Or, if the test is say 20 questions, give Mother a 100 question test to review with the wee one...

Guaranteed that parent would probably fail the test. Just had to add that. Tus, You want some of my vodka to use when all the inlaws are here tomorrow? I might have some left, maybe?

    Helllo people/s

    Tusc,
    I understand how you feel.
My sis-in-law is a teacher and parents call her at all times of the day to get retests or to please accept their kid's assignments which are overdue.

Some parents even do the kids homework.
When I was in school, we had to do all our own work and homework -mum reviews it(English especially) for mistakes and we had to rewrite without the mistakes.

No wonder some kids today when they grow up and get jobs they think it is their right to be paid even if they do no work.

Principles!principles of school ethics(we should have a book for parents)... ;)

Man Tus... I had to email Grad's teacher last night... oh how embarrassing. I get a load of crap from him about his teacher... I made him sit here and I sent the message with him knowing what I was saying from his perspective was a lie. I hope his teacher has enough balls to call him on it... like I did last night. Missing assign?? Ooooo, let me tell you!
    Good morning friends.

    Hi all,

JH I would love some vodka! Although perhaps some Irish Cream for my coffee would be better. Thanks for reminding me... I need to get vodka when I leave here, never got it the other day. And you are probably right the parent would fail.

Cap- I might have to give her a copy of a 100 question quiz just to watch her head spin!

FB- Parents doing the child's homework or long term project has gotten more and more accepted. It would have never flown when I was in school. Now I get notes all the time, Jessica could not do her homework because Grey's Anatomy was on last night and it is her favorite show. Crazy stuff like that!

Na start you don't need rules... you have done your time with the school work, now enjoy your adulthood.

Honestly did anyone see Grey's last night?! I just love TR Knight!

Start, Tus is right. Kids need guidelines while growing up. They will respect you more if you do. They'll learn to prioritize their time.

So true. Kids need structure and guidance. Those who lack it at home struggle in school.
