I've posted pics of my pups many times, but I love the opportunity to do it again.

    Here are my devils.

This is Jasper, my 9 year old border collie cross. He's a rescue.

This is Indy, my lab cross, he'll be 16 in May. He was from a surprise litter a friend had. Very much a surprise as the male was neutered, supposedly.

This is Chewy, our 2 1/2 year old beagle. He's our breeder pup. :)

Edit: Chewy's eyes are brown, not blue and red, that's just my stupid camera. ;)

    A fine looking pack!

Border collies and beagles are "busy" dogs. From what I know. I bet they're a handful , especially Chewy, he has that beagle mischievous look.

That's so freaky! How cuuuuuute! They even both have floppy ears! Love it!

And Alty, your kids are adorable. I love beagles!

Ps-the look on Eli's face is the look he gives when he's waiting for me to throw a toy. He's a fetchaholic, and he will sit in that position and stare at me all night.

I miss having a dog I had several when I was younger and loved them all. Marta is allergic to dog and cat dander she swells up big time. Yep I know that there are nonallergic dogs but she is afraid she will fall in love with it and have a problem later.

Alty... if Indy ate that bra... I guess that you didn't have to feed him for a week...:rolleyes::D

LMAO! Well, he didn't eat a lot the days following. The underwear didn't sit well with him, nor did the lace. ;)

Today little Chewy beagle got into the trash. I blame hubby, as he left a bag of trash in the kitchen, instead of taking it to the garbage bin outside.

Anyway, Chewy got his paws on some pancakes I threw away, because I made too many. He didn't eat them, he just carried them around, guarding them from anyone that came near. Then, when everyone stopped showing any interest, he came up to me, and unceremoniously dumped the moist old pancake in my lap. Gee, thanks.

Aww I can just imagine a little Beagle being protective over pancakes like that. I have a friend with a Husky who does the same thing. She especially prefers bags of chips.

He's so strange about it. He'll protect an old stinky sock, if that's all that's available.

He has no issues sharing anything. He and the other two dogs eat out of the same bowl at dinner time, they drink out of the same water dish, but Chewy just needs to have something to protect once in a while. I don't get it.

    Silly puppy. ;)

Ah yes, pullups, or diapers. I forgot about those. What is it about a crappy nappy that makes dogs go wild?

Back when my son was little enough for diapers, we had the ones that would sort of gel when he peed. I don't know what the diapers are like today, maybe they're still the same.

The diaper would form crystals, and a paste (that's the best way I can explain it). Indy would tear it apart. The pieces he left were impossible to pick up. You couldn't sweep them, vacuum, them, or mop them. They had to be picked up piece by piece, by hand! :(

Reminds me of the garbage bag story.

    This one is gross.

In the winter it's way too cold and frozen to keep our backyard clear of dog poo. Come spring we do the major dog poo pickup. It usually takes a few days, and it's nasty work. R (hubby) had started the pickup, had a garbage bag started, had tossed in the dog poo, and because it was already feces related, he decided to toss in Sydney's used diapers as well.

Well, this all would have worked fine, had we been able to finish the job we started. Sadly, it snowed again, which put the poo pickup to a halt. So the garbage bag sat on the side of the house, fermenting.

When the snow melted we got back to the task at hand, but R forgot about the garbage bag he had already filled half way. Spring came, the days got warmer. One day R was working on the side of the house and saw the bag. He decided to put it in the trash can. He picked it up, and a waft of air escaped. You can only imagine the smell. Thankfully I didn't have to smell it.

R came into the house, green as a frog, looking quite ill. The smell lead to dry heaving by the side of the house. When he finally got the bag moved he noticed that the bag had changed color on the bottom half. It used to be a green bag, it turned black on the bottom. That can't be good. ;)

I just thank Dog I wasn't the one that had to take care of it. Just hearing the story of the smell was enough to make me ill.

Ok this is a bit x rated, but I'll tell it anyway, what about... rubbers?

I'll never forget the time my grandmother was visiting, and she decided to stay at my home which my boyfriend and I shared. It wasn't bad enough that when she was there, J had to sleep on the couch, but how about when my gram was laying on the chesterfield and the dog came over with a USED rubber and dropped it on her hands.

I have never seen a look of horror like that before. Oi.

OMG! Bella, at least your grandma knows what a condom is.

Okay, this isn't pet related, but it needs to be told.

When I was 15 my cousin from Germany lived with us for a year to go to school. He was 17.

During the winter his class (grade 12) went on a ski trip. While he was gone a letter arrived from his best friend in Germany.

Well, my cousin called to check in, we told him about the letter, and he asked us to open it and read it to him.

My mom and I were together in the kitchen, she opened the letter and started to read all 3 pages.

On the bottom of the third page my cousins friend had taped a condom as a joke. Well, my mother finished reading, saw the condom and said to my cousin "Oh, Stephen sent gum, he taped it to the letter. It looks interesting. Can we have it?"

I almost choked on my orange juice. I grabbed the phone, told Mike (my cousin) not to worry about it, the "gum" would be here when he got back.

I then had the onerous task of explaining to my mother that the item taped to the letter was in fact a condom, and not gum.

Mom was shocked "Alty, how the heck do you know what a condom looks like?!"

Oh crap. This is not going to end well. Think Alty! Think!

"Um.....well.....we had sex education.....um.....they taught us what a condom was".

    She bought it! :)

All I can say is that I'm glad it was hubby, and not me. I'd still be by the side of the house puking. ;)
