You could be anxious about not having a cigi all heart. That sometimes happens. You're passed the withdrawl and now your cravings are kicking in and are a little strong now. Stick with it hun, soon they'll get the messege that you mean business.
Ah joe, he's a dorable. I have 2 boys myself and I sooooooooo know the pull of that food. I would suggest caution and to wean yourself off it gradually. Depriving so much so fast will only lead to binging and going hog wild. Either way you do it, you know what's best for you and we'll make room for you on the branch for you and the wife.
Fast food is an addiction all to it self. My personal weakness are hashbrowns and kfc mashed potatoes.
I applaud you for doing this. You're not only trying to cut back but also setting a good example for that beautiful little boy.

Ps: I do know who you're talking about. That kid that kept leaving one word replies and I let him have it. This is a wonderful web site and It doesn't help when someone like that comes in and trashes all your good work.

The cook off idea works great cbw. I do it all the time. If I go to the grocers and get meat and chiken, I'll cook it up then freeze it. Even ground beef can be cooked up and have eady for tacoes or adding into speghetti sauce, even that can be frozen in zip lock bags. Carrots can be cut up and have at the ready for snacking. Those 100 calorie snack packs are a God send. My kids love them. Frozen veggies are good and quick to get ready.(I spend too much time at home). But just a few things to get you going.

See and you thought you were hijacking the thread Joe. Shame on you:p

Ugh... I so could not give up take-out. I love chinese food waaaaaaay too much, and can't cook it worth a darn! Good for you, Joe!

Allheart... I warned you that it would get worse! The next few days are going to be AWFUL for you... hang in there! It's hard, your emotions are going to be really wacky, and you'll beg someone to either give you a cigarette or kill you. DON'T GIVE IN! You're stronger than that! It's going to be hard, I won't lie to you... but I know you can do it! I'll hold your hand any time you start freaking out... I promise!

CBW... I know what you mean about the more you do the more energy you have. I just can't sit down on days like that though, or I fall asleep in my chair!

Mondays suck... but at least we have each other!

We're goddesses. We all stopped having birthdays at 25 (for the insurance thing)

Hang in there my ladies! (and gents, for Joe and Harley)

Crying is okay... Lord knows I've done enough of it the last few weeks.

    Keep strong!

(Maybe we can find a hotel in Tokyo that will let us do laundry baskets down the stairs!)

Tonight is um... I don't know. I made soup this weekend, and we kind of ate it all weekend, instead of saving it for this week, so there's not much left.

Plus, all of my credit cards were stolen last week, along with my checkcard... so I can't stop at the store until I get my new ones!

I think maybe Campbell's soup or PB&J are on the menu at my house.

Tin tray? Like the top of a TV tray? Is this Brit-speak for something I should actually know about?

Oh synnen, how were they stolen. That's a sin. What a hassle I am sure.

Yup CBW, us too, chicken shorcuts mixed in with macaroni and cheese.

Hugs to all of you. CBW hope your head feels better. Grap a nap when you can.

I better get back to my work so I can make my bosses frown... turn upside down.. hee hee.

I truly truly love you guys :)

Uhm, Maybe it is Lasagna. That is frozen lasagna. Not homemade, Although the homemade is so much better.

Oh, I forgot I have a Duck in the freezer, Hmmm (I wonder whatever happened to my doctor) LOL

Save the quacking for another time. Never had it before but I figured good time as any to try something new, especially after having to deal with all the Quacks.

Dr. Evil laugh Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

I have the BEST lasagna recipe ever... but it's not quick and easy.

If it slows down here at work long enough, I'll post it for you, so you can make it this weekend and have leftovers all week!

I think that would be great! Especially if it were either quick and easy recipes (that take like 10 minutes to make) or stuff that makes a ton so you can have leftovers during the week!

I was seriously thinking the other day that I have a ton of "recipes" in my head that aren't really recipes (like adding hamburger and canned chili beans to mac'n'cheese) but are still variety, filling, and not too horrible for you---and I wish I had more!

One thing about quitting smoking is that I find myself in the kitchen more and more.

3 years training as a chef! Wow!

So... when am I invited to dinner at your house? We can make up the "Do it for Harley" t-shirts and slide down your stairs in a laundry basket!

    Hi everyone.

OH CBW I just love it!! And oddly enough I am more hungry than usual. I love trying new receipes. That would be great!!

Synnen - cough up the lasagna receipe... :):) YUM

By the way, was talking to one of the fellas here who has been after me to stop smoking and he said once we get two weeks under our belt, a lot of the severe cravings will leave.
He said the nicotene is leaving our system. Just like you were saying Synnen.

    Hugs

Oh, I enjoy cooking. Love it. I actually started cooking when I was 8 years old. I was an early starter. One thing about recipes I do not like is there is not room for compromise, and I enjoy experimenting with food.

Oh, I will have a new picture soon.

    Joe
