Does your mom stay home a lot, does she work? Do you have chores and duties, what about running errands and helping your mom? What do you mean you feel worse when you do go out? Do you stop what your doing and run home or what? Please explain fully.

You are anonymous and can take this opportunity to express yourself more fully, because to be honest its very difficult to glean any useful information from what you have written.

I TOLD you twice now what is more serious than depression. Please stop asking that, and please start answering our questions. It's hard to tell if you are deliberately avoiding them or if it's a language barrier or if there is something in your personality that makes it hard to describe yourself. Another 'more serious' condition (along with simple schizophrenia) is the very broad one of autism. But any such condition is difficult to diagnose, so it's not one to give quickly, without treating for plain old depression for quite a while.
I THINK YOU NEED TALK THERAPY first of all. You say it didn't work, but I have a feeling that you didn't have a good therapist, especially given the culture you describe. It's also possible that your depression got worse because of the way society treated you.

My experience with therapists: some were terrible for me. That's OK; they are taught to understand that not everyone is going to feel comfortable with their style, whether it's too formal, too direct, or just a personality clash. So it's OK to shop around, asking for a brief session for free. At least in the US and Canada and Europe... you still don't say where you are. I wish you could find someone who is easy to talk to.

Meanwhile you can try to tell us about yourself. You are not only anonymous, there is also not likely to be anyone here who will put you down for being depressed.

thalia, while I am glad that you are opening up in this thread, I am going to have to remind everyone that this is not a Discussion Board. Since this is a Medical Board, we need to stay focused on the original question. For more personal discussions, please start a thread in Member Discussions.

From what I have been reading, Depression can have a lot of causes ranging from trauma to side-effects of some medications. For some people, it just happens without a reason. In some cases, at least, there appears to be a genetic predisposition (This means that if others in your family have had it, you have a greater chance of developing it.) It means that there may not be a reason or cause for your Depression.

It does take a combination of medications, therapy and lifestyle changes to get to a point where the person can live with it or to correct the underlying issues. It also takes being open to getting the help and doing what is needed. I think you are. But understand that it takes time and being open with your doctors.

Thanks Cat1864- I am really want to do anything to get over this situation - but I think that there is no type of medicine would be good enough because there are some people who can't be healed with medicine I think I'm one of those people since 3 year of taking medicine have not change anything or affect me at all

Thalia, why not start a thread about this on a Discussion Board, like Cat1864 said, so joypulv and I and others can chat with you about how meds work and so on.
