I'm with you - I have no idea. Maybe it's about the attention and the second choice (setting her hair on fire to get attention) didn't work out.
And I'll bet she's back soon with another screen name and more made up dogs. In fact, she's probably coming back to "reddie" you and me!

That's what I'm thinking as well. She was online for quite some time after I first asked why she made up this dog. She even posted again thanking me for the info I posted, but would not address why she lied.
Now she's offline. I'd bet money that she'll be back with a new username, and her first post will either be on one of her threads, defending the OP (herself) or there will be a new question in the dog forum, and this time she'll do her best to keep her lies straight.
You want to make a wager? I'll bet a 20 gallon fish tank and two fish. If you win you get the tank. If you lose you get the tank. Either way it's win win, at least for me. ;)

Who's going to come home at lunch time to feed the fish?
OMG. Lying is pretty bad when people do it in an anonymous forum. Why not just pose the question as a hypothetical, like, "I'd like to get a maltese puppy but I work 8 hours a day and commute one more - how do people manage to care for new puppies when they are gone so long?" Instead, people make up these elaborate lies, to total strangers?
Hopefully her next question will be, "I am a pathological liar. I make up fake scenarios about things I could be honest about - like things that interest me but are not presently part of my life. Where can I get help?"
Yikes.

Yes, to the pathological liar, no, to the fish. My last fish went to the Big Aquarium in the Sky and it is sitting empty in my basement SO if you would like a second tank...
I also think when the questions are so blantantly dishonest there should be some way of doing reddies to indicate just that - someone will read this thread and not realize it's all pretend.
I'm sure OP is reading this using her new user name. Wonder what ideas she would have on the subject.

In this thread you claim you're looking for a puppy, that you don't currently have one.
So what happened to the little female maltese that currently spends her days at your sisters house while you work?
I meant I am getting one in the summer but to leave it at my sister was the plan

You were asked how old the puppy is, and your reply was:
My puppy is still a few months old and it is a female puppy!!
You were then asked this specific question, noticed the part in bold:
Just so I understand, you work an 8-hour day (plus a commute, I would think), you already have the puppy, you want to know what to do about the 8+ hours when you're gone?
To which you replied:
You then added:
I leave her at my sister house for now but I feel bad so I might leave it home for a little and I'll come home for my lunch break is that good or it's to long??
If you have no puppy, why do you feel bad for leaving her at your sisters house? Also, you didn't say 'I plan to leave her at my sisters house when I get her", you specifically stated that you already leave her at your sisters house and you feel bad about it.
Last but not least, your original question was:
How long can I leave my teacup Maltese home I'm out for 8 hr working?
Your teacup Maltese, not "I'm planning on getting a teacup Maltese, how long can I leave it alone at home You stated that you already have a teacup Maltese, yours.
You made up a dog, that's the bottom line. Nothing in any of your posts on your thread implied that you were looking to get a dog, you posted that you already have one, you said the dog was female, a few months old, you're leaving the dog at your sisters house and you feel bad about it. The dog doesn't exist!
If you meant that you're getting a dog, why were we never told that the dog you were talking about in this thread, was fictional?
Sorry, but no matter how you paint it, you lied to us, pretended you have a dog, and now I find it very hard to believe anything you say. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'm no fool.

Show me the post where you said that on this thread.
You posted on a separate thread that you were looking at getting a puppy, and the breeds you were interested, not on this thread. That's how you were caught in the lie.
We don't like being lied to, so you chill out. You're the one that lied, you were caught, and now you have no recourse but to get angry to deflect your lie. We're not stupid enough to fall for that.
I'm going to ask that this thread be closed, since the puppy you're talking about is fictional, and there's no way to give advice on a circumstance that isn't even occurring. When you get a puppy and need advice, come back, but don't be surprised if no one answers. We all volunteer here, we don't like to have our time wasted on lies, and once we're lied to it's very hard to trust again.
Good luck.

You never said that you plan to leave your pup at your sisters house. You stated that you do leave her at your sisters house, for now,but you feel bad about it. Don't you get how that's a lie? Why would you feel bad about leaving a dog that doesn't exist, at your sisters house?
I'm done. I'd have a lot more respect for you if you admitted that you lied, because it's obvious, and you're not fooling anyone.
Good bye.
