It is common for breasts and nipples to enlarge in pregnancy but not immediately - it would likely be too soon. I've never heard of anyone being compelled to talk to their bellies except when they have a confirmed pregnancy, and usually not until they can actually feel the baby moving and are showing - at least not until maybe the second trimester if not the third. As for the texture of your skin, it probably has more to do with something like how long you were in the shower - kind of like your fingers ripple when you go swimming for a long time - or humidity or the texture of your bra or something, not a sign of pregnancy.
The others are right - you cannot diagnose pregnancy from symptoms. For one thing, our imaginations run away with us and we can very easily imagine ourselves into symptoms. The temperature thing the nurse told you is insanely ridiculous. Your assessment that you ovulated is a guess at best - it's not a certain thing. And the pill you took could very well cause some side effects because it impacts your hormones, so much of what you are experiencing could just as easily be attributed to the birth control method you used. When you consider all that this one pill can do for you, it's powerful stuff and is bound to also have side effects that impact your body in ways you can't predict unless you are educated when you take it about potential side effects.

All right, I understand. Thank you everyone for your help. I just have another question. I am 90% sure I ovulated about 4 days or so after taking the pill... So, if in fact I truly did, would this increase my chances of being pregnant?

I'm not sure plan be even worked because I did ovulate and its supposed to prevent you from doing so.
Plan B doesn't always prevent you from ovulating. That is what the birth control pill is designed to do. Plan B actually makes the uterus a hostile environment so that the egg doesn't necessarily implant. It really depends on where you are in your cycle as to how it works.

I see. Well, I was a week late on my period so instead of getting it on the 12th or 13th (of january) I got it on the 20th... Had sex on the 27th, took the pill on the 28th, ovulated on the 1st (of february)... Does that help?

May I ask how you know you actually ovulated on Feb 1?
All of my questions will come forward to attempting to formulate an appropriate response, so your honesty is appreciated.

I can't quite explain how I know... It's a funny feeling and.. It's just the change in discharge that tips me off each month...

Funny feelings are really that reliable. Things like basal body temperature are better, but still not reliable completely.
With that said, if you got your period on January 20, you aren't even due until at least February 20. Thus, it would be too early to test.

Yes, I know how crazy it sounds... I am due on the 18th. I did try to test a couple days ago (even though I knew it was too soon) because I was having symptoms I've never had before and it seemed to point to pregnancy. I thought perhaps since I had a few symptoms already perhaps I had enough hcg that it would show up on a test. But no. It was a bfn. Its still too soon... The nurse said to wait and see if I am a week late and then come in for a blood test...

Oh, well, if your period isn't due until the 18th its WAY too early to test.
Pregnancy symptoms and premenstrual symptoms can be identical.
Since you aren't due until Feb 18, I suggest you wait to test using first morning urine, on March 3 or 4.

All right. Yes, I will do that.
The only pre-menstrual symptoms I ever get is very, very severe cramps that last usually only the first 2 days sometimes a bit on the 3rd. That's why all this other almost gave me a heart attack because I have never experienced them before.
Yes, Fr-Chuck, I shall indeed.

I'm a bit confused. You had sex on January 27th, took the pill on the 28th, and ovulated on the 1st of February. Did you have sex when you ovulated? Did you have sex any time after you took the plan B? It seems that you believe that you got pregnant when you ovulated, but you ovulated after taking the plan B (as far as you know). Unless you had sex when you ovulated, pregnancy isn't possible. Once you're pregnant, you won't ovulate.

I indeed took plan be on the 28th, which the sperm can last 5 to 7 days max. I don't think plan be worked at all because of the fact that I still did ovulate. And the sperm, if it lasted 5 or 7 days was still in my system at the time I ovulated. But actually yes, I had sex again on Wednesday night (jan 30) but he used the pull out method... Idk if I believe in the chance of sperm being in the pre-c*m or not... But still. And then again on Sunday the 3rd which again was the pull out method.

How do you know that?
Sperm doesn't usually last as long as you say.

There have been a couple of times where I have thought I could be pregnant, nothing like this time though. I have done a lot of research, talked to a few nurses and a couple of doctors and they all said the same thing. Even online I find information about people getting pregnant like that or saying it is possible.

The discharge was sticky and stretchy/stringy like its always been when I would ovulate before. I have found that when that happens, I usually get my period within a certain amount of time afterward. I have asked around what its like when you ovulate and it seems to be exactly what I experience... Although today, I have an increase in discharge except it is milky white and clear and not stringy or stretchy at all... Just mostly wet... Don't know what that means but I suppose time will tell.

If the nurses and doctors you talked to are as ill informed as the one that told you that 18 days of a slight elevation in temperature means you're pregnant, than I'd get a second opinion.

Pregnancy & Breast Implants
[ 2 Answers ]
I have breast implants and I was wondering if having implants would cause me not to feel the soreness or tenderness in my breast if I am pregnant? My implants a fairly new so they are still a bit tender. Also, if Iam pregnant does that effect breastfeeding?
