No matter how you feel about it, and I know it hurts, you have to put on a brave face. Drop her off, say "Okay sweetie, see you in a few hours, have fun". Give her a hug, and walk out, then go cry in your car (I know you are, because I did too! ;)). No coddling, no "I'll miss you too", or anything to confirm that leaving you is a bad thing.

It took my son a few months before he stopped crying, and that was at the beginning of every school year. It's hell, pure hell, but they need to learn that they can be away from you, have fun, and that's okay. :)
Here Here. Let her know that this is something that she has to do. I was determined when I sent my son to pre-school I would not make him feel sad with my tears and once he saw the other boys and the building blocks to be played with he was off. Mom who?

I don cry,, m serious,, I am not sending her away,, what m doing is for her good, for her future,, it hurts me, but not so much that I cry,, I look into the positive side... the only reason it hurts is because she feels m leaving her,,
I made it a habit to kiss her at home, leave her at the school gates and turn my back, leave,, but on the way I tell her I'l come bac for her as soon as school is over. She cries but I can handle that... I promise some goodies or an outing and keep that promise if she cries tooooo much... not everyday though...

I'v been told that boys prefer to play and let go very easily,, is it true?
