I'm going to take a guess here and suggest that the judge is getting a little tired of junk debt buyers who try to collect on debts they purchase for pennies on the dollar and don't have sufficient documentation.

Thank you guys so so much for your help in this matter. To JudyKayTee... With all due respect, I understand what the lawyer is trying to do. I am trying to take care of this debt with the money I have. I do not want to agree to 12 months payments that I may end up defaulting on again. I can not come up with money I don't have. I am not trying to skip on a bill I owe while I have lots of money - I don't have money. I will write the letter and be forthcoming. That's the best I can do.

The judge did give the impression that she was fed up with his kind, he had submitted a big pile of suits to her court as he sits there in his office miles and miles away. I had to loose out on some of the little work I have in order to appear. I was very upset (as in shedding tears, not angry) as it was very intimidating, I have never been in a situation like this. I know the judge felt I was very genuine. She had heard a motion for summary judgement on a wrongful death suit before hearing my case, maybe she felt she had more important cases to hear other than this credit card default @*&t!! I was the only one from the pile who showed, and she knew it, so she probably granted him summary judgments on all the others and knew going in, as I stood there alone, that she was going to have to do that.

Thanks again for your help, it's been a huge educator for me.
